More than ten years ago, I went to the Rolling Stones concert at Tampa Stadium during their "Voodoo Lounge" tour. It was rumored at the time that it might be their last tour. There have been a few more Stones tours since then, the most recent in 2002. Well, guess what, folks: The sexagenarian rockers are going out on tour again later this summer.
Now I'm wondering what the name of this tour will be: Steel Wheelchairs? One Foot in the Grave? Petrified Wood? Feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments.
Sometimes you're better off dying young and leaving a good-looking corpse. I think that Keith Richards is probably one of the undead. And when I looked at the picture of Mick Jagger on the Drudge Report website, I thought, "Which has more wrinkles, his face or that t-shirt he's wearing?" It was a photo finish.

Start Me Up Tour (with an image of a defibrillator on all promotional t-shirts)
I saw Ryan Adams and the Cardinals Monday night in Asheville. He did a really bizarre version of Brown Sugar. My friend and I just kept looking at each other as if to say: What the hell?!
Who is the sponsor of the tour anyway? Sunsweet Prunes?
AARP, Viagra and Depends.
Codger rock tour?
"Rock and Rot Tour"
I was going to leave this comment on the top post, but, of course, someone had to ruin it for the rest of us. I cannot believe anyone would bother to troll in a thread about the Stones. Clyde was just trying to post about the Stones being incredibly decrepit, which they are, and turning it into an opportunity to make a personal attack is simply childish.
Clyde, please don't turn off the comments. I know I don't use them as often as I could, but I was really excited when they came back. Blogs are much more enjoyable when they're interactive.
And I like you. :)
Mary, the comments will be back when I post again, probably on Monday. I altered the comments on those two posts to show what I can do with Blogger's comment software if I choose to do so. Blogger's comments are much better than the ones I had on the old blog, where it was either allow comments on all posts or no comments on any posts.
Whew, it was just a show of force.
Hello, Attila. Didn't see you at BCS #14 last night. Were you off last night or just hiding?
Heh! I just found out that I can delete other people's comments.
Bye, Attila. See ya in the funny papers!
